Recruits to Report to College

The 3000 Recruits constables enlisted into Kenya Police will report to Kenya Police College, Kiganjo and the G.S.U Training School on Saturday 8th April 2006 to commence their 10 months training Course. Of the 3000 recruits,20% are females.

The Kenya Police College will admit 1400 recruits while the the G.S.U Training school will absorb the remaining 1600.

The last recruitment, which was a repeat exercise following the nullification of an earlier one due to allegations of impropriety by KACC, was not marred by any incident. The public and other observers were happy with the way the exercise was conducted in a transparent manner.

The recruits will undergo training in law, masketry, drill, public relations and customer care, community policing, Gender issues among other disciplines. This is meant to mould them into efficient, modern police officers to take care of the security needs of our people.
