REQUIREMENTS FOR RECRUITMENT

POLICE CONSTABLES

All candidates wishing to be enlisted in the Kenya Police as Police Constables must meet the following conditions:-

  • Age : 18-25 years (28 years for graduates and Diploma holders) and up to 30 years for Masters Degree holders.
  • Education: A minimum of grade C- in K.C.S.E (with a pass D+ in English Language)
  • Minimum Height: 5 ft 8 inches (men) 5 ft 3 inches (women)
  • Have no criminal record
  • Have a National Identity Card
  • Be medically fit

RECRUITMENT OF PROFESSIONALS IN THE KENYA POLICE FORCE

Direct entry appointments will be made in the grade of Cadet Inspector of Police.
The Cadet Inspector will undergo an initial training of six months at Kenya Police College.

Persons Eligible for recruitment

To be eligible for recruitment, all candidates must fulfill the following conditions:

  • Be Kenyan Citizen
  • Be aged between 23-30 Years
  • Be medically fit
  • Have no criminal record
  • Be in possession of a valid National Identity Card
  • Must possess a degree in the relevant field (Listed Below) from a recognized University:

1. Lawyers
2. Medical Doctors
3. Pathologists
4. Psychiatrist
5. Veterinary Doctors
6. Mechanical Engineers
7. Electrical Engineers
8. Civil Engineers
9. Structural Engineers
10. Telecommunication engineers
11. Psychologists/Counselors
12. Computer Engineers
13. Educationists
14. Public relation Practitioner
15. Criminologists
16. Forensic investigators,
And others as may be decided from time to time.

In addition to the above minimum requirements, all eligible candidates must possess the following qualifications:

Medical Practitioners

• Physicians
• Pathologists
• Dentists
• Psychiatrists

Be qualified doctors registered to practice in Kenya.

Paramedical officers

Be qualified and registered to practice in Kenya and holds a Bsc in Nursing and clinical studies

Pilots

Have a valid KCAA(Kenya Civil Aviation Authority), Commercial Pilots License (CPL) (Fixed wing or Helicopter).

Lawyers

Be advocates of the High Court of Kenya

Aeronautical Engineers

Have a KCAA License Graduates and registered as a Graduate Engineers, as a minimum with the relevant statutory body.

Diploma in Aeronautical, KACC License A&C or A&C Rotor Craft “X” category “R”C, category “X” instruments.

Veterinary Officer

Duly registered to practice in Kenya.
