Police Headquarters wishes to clarify misleading reports
carried by a section of the media over false allegations
about the working relationship between the Minister
of State in the Office of the President in Charge of
Provincial Administration and Internal Security, Hon.
John N. Michuki and the Commissioner of Police.
As was clearly stated by the Hon. Minister himself,
the Minister and Commissioner of Police have a cordial,
professional and courteous relationship both at the
official and inter-personal level. It is therefore mischievous
for any reporter to resort to blatant lies based on
concocted falsehoods. This brand of destructive journalism
is unhelpful.
The Kenya Police works under clearly defined legal
structures and no section of the Force has been denied
support in discharging its mandate as alleged. Such
deliberately false speculations must therefore be dismissed
as they serve no purpose.
