CRIMINAL ACTS ATTRIBUTED TO MUNGIKI

STATE OF SECURITY.

Police Headquarters would like to inform the public on the state of security in the country as follows:

Mungiki Revival.

Police headquarters would like to alert the public on an increase in criminal activities attributed to Mungiki criminal gang.

On the 12th of March 2009, police in Tigoni Police Station received a report that two badly mutilated bodies were found lying by the roadside within Ngeca area. Police moved to the scene and initial investigations indicate that the two were murdered elsewhere and their bodies dumped at that place.

On the 11th of March 2009, in Kibogothe village, Kerugoya Polce Station area Kirinyaga district, a decapitated head of a male adult was found dumped along a foot path. Once gain initial investigations indicate that the victim was murdered elsewhere and his head dumped on the foot path. His body had not yet been recovered.

On the ….. a police officer attached to Kayole police station went missing from his duty station. Days later, he was found murdered and his body dumped in Emali area eastern Province. Investigations into this murder are at an advanced stage and police are focusing on suspects who reportedly gave the family false information to the effect that the officer had been arrested by his colleagues.

This series of brutal murders reported to police within a short span of time coupled with numerous complaints of extortion and death threats from several areas within Nairobi and Central Province with he worst affected being Kayole, Buruburu, Dandora, the greater Kiambu, Thika, Murang’a and Nyeri is reminiscent of the height of Mungiki terror in mid 2007.

Consequent upon this insecurity, Kenya Police is calling upon the public to more vigilant in community policing and readily give information on the individual criminals so that they can be dealt with according to the law.

Investigation into Oscar foundation murders.

Following the murder of the founder of Oscar foundation and an aid on the 5th of March 2007 at about 06:20 p.m., Police have opened investigation and so far the progress is as follows:
The attack was carried out by two male persons of medium build, who approached the victims as they drove along the section of State House road which runs between the university of Nairobi halls of residence a few meters from Ufungamno House.

A post mortem has alredy been carried out and intialPost mortem reports indicate the cause death of the late Oscar kamu king’ara was oocasioned by osca kamua was short three time in the head while seted in his car.
