Our vision is to totally
eradicate crime in the entire province in order to provide
most favourable environment for investment opportunities.
MISSION
To foster the spirit
of community policing by first winning the confidence
of the public, thereby assisting in the prevention of
crime other than controlling crime.
HISTORY
OF CENTRAL PROVINCE
The headquarters of
Central Province is based in Nyeri Town. The province
borders Nairobi Province, Rift Valley Province and Eastern
Province . The provincial boundaries were made by British
colonial government to cater for their interests. Initially
the province had five (5) divisions until 1990’s
when Murang’a and Kiambu were divided to create
Maragua and Thika divisions respectively, making a total
of seven (7) divisions.
DIVISIONS
Central province is
sub-divided into seven (7) divisions. Each division
is headed by divisional police commander (OCPD), who
is responsible to the Provincial Police Officer (PPO)
for the efficient running and administration of police
duties in his division.
The underlisted is the command of Central
